Job Description
We are currently looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician C to join our team at Southeastern Freight Lines, Inc. As a vital member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment used in the transportation and handling of freight. The role will involve working on a range of vehicles, including single and tandem axle diesel tractors, city trucks, and industrial forklifts.
Responsibilities
- Track and manage work orders to ensure timely completion and meet service requirements.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other issues in trucks and forklifts.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks like brake adjustments, lubrication, and tire maintenance.
- Repair or rebuild components of equipment systems as needed for optimal performance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Minimum of 6 months relevant experience or training.
- Ability to pass background check, alcohol, and drug tests.
- Preferably Diesel Engine Repair, Automotive Diagnostics, Automotive Service, ASE Certification, or Diesel Engine Certification.
Salary
$28.80 - $35.80 per hour
