Tissue Processing Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a Tissue Processing Technician to join Biostem Technologies. As a Tissue Processing Technician, you will support the processing and documentation of tissue for transplantation purposes. This role involves cleaning, cutting, shaping, inspecting, and packaging birth tissue. You will work in compliance with federal (FDA), state, and AATB regulations to ensure the quality and safety of the processed tissue.

Responsibilities

• Process perinatal tissues into allograft products in an ISO 5 environment.
• Complete daily documentation of tissue processing.
• Perform production control on all manufactured units.
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal (FDA) Regulations and AATB Standards.
• Maintain aseptic work environments and perform sterilization tasks.
• Generate and investigate deviations and change controls related to manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aseptic technique.
• Bachelor's Degree in science or related field, or Associate degree with relevant experience.
• Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication, planning, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Physical Demands

• Sit for long periods of time and lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment

• Noise level is moderate, primarily a production environment with some warehouse duties.
• Exposure to physical risk and blood-borne pathogens.
