Senior State Program Director

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Senior State Program Director to lead Working America programs and campaigns in assigned states. Join us in mobilizing working people to advocate for good jobs and a fair economy. As a Senior State Program Director, you will collaborate with canvass leadership, secure funding, plan and implement organizing campaigns, and enhance Working America's presence within the progressive community.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Campaigns/Political Director to meet membership recruitment and organizational goals
• Represent Working America in local labor councils, AFL-CIO affiliates, and allied organizations
• Develop and execute campaigns encompassing issues, elections, and member engagement
• Raise funds and enhance the organization's profile within the state(s)
• Manage program activities, member engagement, and support national projects

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a State Program Director or equivalent
• 1+ year field canvass director experience preferred
• Knowledge of labor movement structures and electoral politics
• Strong research skills and data analysis proficiency
• Leadership, team-building, and strategic planning abilities
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
