General Job Description

Dogwood Industries is searching for a Procurement Manager to join our team in Sedro-Woolley, WA. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical and mechanical equipment purchasing within the construction industry. This role requires handling diverse project requirements under tight deadlines. The Procurement Manager will review specifications, manage RFQs, and issue accurate Purchase Orders, demonstrating strong organizational skills and technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement schedules aligned with production.
• Negotiate with suppliers for optimal pricing and terms.
• Research products and suppliers, becoming the subject matter expert for technical items.
• Procure materials and equipment, expedite orders, and liaise with the project team.
• Report on costs, analyze budgets, and resolve supply chain issues.
• Ensure timely vendor payments and oversee a purchasing team.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Team management experience.
• Vendor negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to extract critical information from specifications.
• Technical understanding to ensure accuracy in purchase orders.
• Proficiency in Office, SharePoint, and Adobe applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction or manufacturing OR
• 4+ years of procurement experience in the construction industry.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

This role involves moderate physical activity in an office setting, occasional site visits, and exposure to shop elements like noise and dust.

Compensation: $85,000 - $90,000 annually.
