Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Freeman Webb Company. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the physical plant, working under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager. Your role will involve a wide range of duties to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of our properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in various maintenance projects.
• Conduct electrical repairs on appliances, fixtures, circuits, etc.
• Perform plumbing tasks like cleaning stoppages and replacing fittings.
• Handle carpentry work such as fitting doors, building shelves, etc.
• Assist in custodial work and grounds maintenance.
• Ensure scheduled maintenance of equipment following manufacturers' recommendations.
• Maintain stock control and organize maintenance materials.
• Participate in work-safety programs and maintain safe working environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior maintenance experience or related field experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Basic understanding of math.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The Maintenance Technician role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environmental conditions. Candidates must be comfortable with heights and outdoor work.
