Job Description
At Red River Commodities, we are looking for a dedicated Automation Technician to join our team at the Horace facility. As an Automation Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our automated and robotic equipment to ensure efficient production processes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Production Management and Maintenance teams to enhance facility performance through electronic controls, automation, and robotics.
- Analyze control systems architecture and plant systems to ensure operational familiarity.
- Identify and address deficiencies in electronic controls to maximize production throughput and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in PLCS, robotics, VFDs, and automation systems within the plant.
- Contribute to the long-term maintenance strategy and system upgrades for capital projects.
- Implement automation enhancement projects and provide operator training.
- Perform general maintenance on electrical equipment up to 480V.
- Establish a processing data collection system to support production reporting processes.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in a relevant technical field preferred.
- Certification in PLC maintenance or programming.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience in food processing or agriculture is advantageous.
- Journeyman electrician's license is a plus.
- Good work ethic and familiarity with SOP and QMS.
