Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join Aldi's team. This full-time position offers an average of 30-35 hours per week with a starting wage of $21.00 per hour. As a Warehouse Package Handler, you will play a vital role in the efficient operation of the warehouse by performing various tasks including selecting and receiving stock, relocating merchandise, sorting and loading products, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, and interacting with peers and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Select and receive incoming stock efficiently.
- Relocate merchandise according to guidelines.
- Sort, load, and unload merchandise in preparation for shipment.
- Participate in warehouse inventory counts.
- Cooperate effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership.
- Provide input to improve warehouse processes.
- Inspect products for quality and safety.
- Assist in achieving budgeted goals.
- Perform all assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Demonstrate conscientiousness, collaboration, positive attitude, resilience, and drive for success.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Move merchandise throughout the warehouse.
- Operate powered industrial equipment safely.
