Job Description
Amazon Data Services, Inc. is looking for a motivated Senior Hardware Development Engineer to join the AWS Hardware Engineering team. As part of this team, you will lead the design and development of server products, collaborating with various teams and partners to deliver cutting-edge solutions at scale. This challenging role will involve overseeing the quality and performance of the servers post-launch and contributing to industry-changing innovation.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the design and development of server products.
- Collaborate with customers to understand technical needs and business goals.
- Work with interdisciplinary teams and partners to bring servers to the data centers.
- Monitor server fleet quality and performance post-launch.
- Continuously improve product performance, quality, and cost.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years hardware development experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in system/server development for large-scale applications.
- Knowledge of server technologies such as Thermal/Mechanical design and networking.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
- Experience managing technical projects and interdisciplinary teams.
- 15+ years hardware development with a focus on server development.
- Experience with server validation, issue root causing, and deployment in large data centers.
- Experience in leading hardware and software development teams.
