Mobile Mechanic

Job Description

Alpha Transport Inc., one of the largest petroleum transporters in the Western United States, is seeking a skilled Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team. As a mobile mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, and equipment.
• Perform major and minor repairs, including air and electrical system troubleshooting.
• Handle suspension, brake systems, tire maintenance, and minor diesel engine repairs.
• Keep a clean and organized work area.
• Travel between markets when required.
• Carry out other related duties as needed.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Hold a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Possess basic computer skills and a minimum of 2 years' experience as a certified diesel mechanic.
• Must own tools and be DOT certified.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years' experience as a certified diesel mechanic.
• Experience in welding and possession of a CDL Class A driver's license.
