As the Maintenance Supervisor at Northern Manufacturing Co., you will lead a small team of maintenance/janitorial personnel to ensure equipment reliability, streamlined maintenance processes, and a culture of excellence and safety within the maintenance department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Minimize plant downtime by prioritizing equipment emergencies and maximizing factory productivity.
• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the maintenance team, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance management.
• Collaborate with production managers to prioritize maintenance needs and minimize disruptions to workflow.
• Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program for machinery, equipment, and facilities.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate project work and maintenance activities.
• Research, recommend, and order supplies and tools required for maintenance activities.
• Conduct regular inspections to proactively identify and address potential issues.
• Negotiate subcontracts and manage necessary purchases for building and grounds maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices, safety protocols, and equipment operation.

Requirements:

• Associates Degree in engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Experience with repairing and troubleshooting robots/automation is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Forklift license preferred.
