Area Manager, Critical Infrastructure

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Area Manager, Critical Infrastructure to oversee the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within our data center(s). The role involves ensuring mission-critical uptime of 99.999% or higher, leading a team of Critical Infrastructure Engineers, and driving cross-market initiatives for operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• Own overall operation and maintenance of data center equipment.
• Lead and mentor team members on best practices.
• Drive cross-market efforts to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Create and implement company policies and procedures.
• Identify and propose improvements for operational excellence.
• Oversee disaster recovery exercises and facility performance reporting.
• Develop maintenance procedures and provide training for staff.
• Conduct facility rounds and customer tours.
• Configure monitoring systems for equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of management experience with direct reports.
• Experience in critical infrastructure environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced electrical or mechanical certifications.
• 5+ years of data center experience.
• 3+ years of management experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods, walk or stand for 50% of the time.
• Keyboard usage, lifting up to 50lbs, and occasional travel.

Base Pay Range

Annualized salary estimated at $112,700 - $145,400.
