Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated 1st Shift Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join Aldi. As a key member of our team, you will oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company standards. Your role will involve establishing work schedules, supervising staff, monitoring deliveries, and implementing action plans to enhance operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Establish and modify daily work schedules to meet warehouse needs.
- Coordinate and supervise daily tasks of warehouse staff.
- Monitor inbound and outbound deliveries for compliance.
- Develop and implement action plans for operational improvement.
- Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize warehouse operations.
- Lead and facilitate Warehouse Associate meetings.
- Train and develop staff for maximum performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
- Manage controllable expenses and inventory efficiently.
- Create a safe working environment and maintain equipment.
- Provide feedback and coaching to staff for continuous improvement.
- Handle any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to challenges and pressure positively.
- Experience in training, developing, and motivating warehouse personnel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict management abilities.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and goal achievement.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Work in varying temperatures and lift up to 45 pounds.
- Stand, sit, bend, reach, push, and carry throughout the warehouse.
