Member Experience Specialist- Dual role as Teller/Banker

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Member Experience Specialist, which is a dual role as a teller/banker, to join Kirtland Federal Credit Union. As a Member Experience Specialist, you will be responsible for creating an exceptional member experience by performing various member service functions, such as teller transactions, cash handling, account maintenance, and opening new accounts. You will develop financial relationships, identify member needs, and provide appropriate loan and deposit products and services. Additionally, you will maintain a cash drawer, process loan applications, and ensure lending operations comply with Credit Union policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and enhance member relationships to ensure exceptional member experiences.
• Perform various member service functions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Generate and process loan applications for consumer lending products.
• Identify member needs, develop financial relationships, and offer appropriate products/services.
• Maintain and balance a cash drawer following Credit Union policies.
• Prepare loan applications and assist with loan servicing tasks.
• Maintain current knowledge of Credit Union products, services, and regulations.
• Provide exceptional internal and external member service.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year's cash handling, sales, and customer service experience preferred.
• Previous lending or sales experience preferred.
• Experience with IRA and other consumer deposit products preferred.
• Strong member service skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in identifying member needs and building relationships.
• Strong analytical, financial, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient with computer applications.
• Ability to cross-sell products and apply critical thinking to problem solve.
• Flexibility in a changing environment with continuous learning.
