Railcar Repair Technician

Job Description

CalmHR Inc is seeking a Railcar Repair Technician to join First Response Rail Service, Inc. in Boyertown, Pennsylvania. As a Railcar Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and performing necessary repairs on railcars, including welding, fabrication, parts change outs, and program work.

Responsibilities

• Inspect railcars daily.
• Perform necessary repairs on railcars.
• Execute program work based on provided scope.
• Conduct heavy repairs involving welding and fabrication.
• Perform railcar part change outs in the field.

Requirements

• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Proficient with oxygen/acetylene torch, MIG, and stick welding.
• Good spatial awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Reliable and able to lift up to 80lbs.
• Capable of walking up to 10 miles a day.
• Commitment to continuous learning.

Salary is negotiable based on skills and experience. Per Diem provided for travel. Schedule involves Monday-Friday work with occasional weekends and holidays.
