Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Manager Infection Control to join our team at Kettering Health Network. As the Infection Control Officer, you will play a crucial role in implementing policies and procedures to prevent disease transmission in our medical centers and outpatient facilities. Your responsibilities will include leading the Infection Prevention and Control team, developing and monitoring infection surveillance programs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Infection Control Officer, overseeing infection prevention and control practices.
- Conduct scientific research to recommend, implement, and monitor policies for sterilization, disinfection, and decontamination.
- Develop facility-wide infection surveillance, prevention, and control policies adhering to national guidelines.
- Provide training and education on infection prevention and control guidelines to hospital personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related healthcare field (completed within 5 years of hire).
- Master's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of progressive supervisory/leadership experience in infection prevention and control.
- Active Ohio Registered Nursing Licensure or National licensure in clinical area required.
Work Environment
- Travel to network facilities for rounds and process improvement projects.
- Fast-paced environment with juggling multiple projects and altered hours.
- Utilization of computer systems for data review and development of action plans.
