Job Description
Join our team at Aldi as a Full-Time Assistant Store Manager, taking on key management responsibilities to ensure store performance and develop the team. You will assist in improving operating results, setting performance expectations, identifying training opportunities, and maintaining inventory levels while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement action plans to enhance store performance.
- Establish job responsibilities and performance expectations for direct reports.
- Identify and provide training opportunities for team members.
- Communicate company strategy and values to foster teamwork among employees.
- Monitor the competitive environment and recommend adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
- Participate in the interviewing process and provide product feedback to the leadership team.
- Ensure inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies are adhered to.
- Maintain store cleanliness standards and stock levels.
- Supervise day-to-day operations and escalate issues when necessary.
- Comply with company policies and procedures while ensuring customer service excellence.
Job Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in interpreting and applying company policies and procedures.
- Experience in personnel management and budgeting preferred.
- Operational knowledge including cash register operation and equipment handling.
- Ability to multitask effectively and pay attention to detail.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years retail experience.
- Prior management experience is a plus.
