Certified Peer Specialist Job Description

Do you want to make a positive impact in the life of others while working in a fun and active environment? Comhar Inc. is currently seeking a Part Time Certified Peer Specialist to join our Long Term Structured Residence (LTSR) team in Walnutport, PA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of educational and support groups, program activities, and other programming aspects.
• Provide training and assistance to individuals in developing and practicing skills identified in their recovery plans.
• Offer support in daily living activities, social skill building, vocational training, and health and wellness.
• Collaborate in treatment team meetings, facilitate meetings, and accompany individuals to appointments.
• Document individual progress, assist with meal preparation, and maintain facility upkeep.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and six months of related experience in mental health services.
• Valid PA State clearances, CPR, First Aid certification, and a driver's license.
• Physical examination, TB test, and Certified Peer Specialist Certification.
