Job Description

Sirmax North America Inc is seeking a Business Development Manager for the South East Territory. Our company is a global leader in providing thermoplastic material solutions, offering a wide range of products, from polypropylene to engineering plastics. The Sales & Business Development Manager will propose and implement relevant business development plans in accordance with the company strategy and develop sales in terms of volumes and profitability in compliance with the assigned objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Visits customers to achieve sales goals and develop multi-level relationships within the assigned customer(s), OEM, and other stakeholders.
  • Draws up sales forecasts relating to the assigned area of expertise.
  • Identifies and promptly reports deviations from forecasts, implementing necessary corrections and changes to programs.
  • Researches and develops new customers relative to the expertise.
  • Collaborates with Accounting to apply company policy on credit management.
  • Proactively understands and analyzes customer product and service needs.
  • Identifies emerging needs for new applications at the OEM and Tier 1 level to support the product development plan.
  • Defines annual value creation objectives consistent with business and account strategy for each key account.
  • Negotiates local sales terms on the customer interface as needed, captures orders, and completes the ordering process.
  • Identifies new opportunities and application spaces where new and existing products can be developed and positioned to create differentiation and long-term sustainability.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and prioritizes value growth, operational excellence initiatives, and inputs into the account plan.
  • Coordinates the positioning of innovative products in the market based on customer needs.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in: Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Strong organizational and excellent communication skills.
  • Minimum 2 years related to sales in plastics.
  • Must have a positive, customer-focused outlook and have a strong learning orientation.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting.
  • Computer and phone usage (90%).
  • Traveling.
