Job Description

Join our team at Aldi as an Assistant Store Manager, where you will be responsible for supervising day-to-day store activities, managing schedules, developing operational action plans, and fostering team growth. As a key member of the management team, your role will involve ensuring overall store performance and enhancing the customer shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing action plans to improve store operations
  • Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members
  • Identify training opportunities for team development
  • Monitor competitive environment and provide feedback on products
  • Participate in the interviewing process for store personnel
  • Ensure inventory procedures and cash control policies are followed
  • Maintain store cleanliness and proper stock levels
  • Supervise day-to-day operations and support team members
  • Comply with company policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of retail management principles
  • Experience in operating a cash register
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized
  • Knowledge of handling and selling alcoholic beverages (as required)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years retail experience
  • Prior management experience preferred
