Senior Software Development Engineer - AWS Cryptography , C3P

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining secure, open source encryption tools and libraries for AWS customers to protect their sensitive data inside and outside the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography.
• Design, prioritize, test, and implement new features to enhance security controls.
• Operate globally distributed servers and deliver foundational libraries using C and Rust.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and security specialists to ensure the delivery and support of cryptographic tools for internal and external customers.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one software programming language with design or architecture experience.
• Prior experience as a mentor or leading an engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
