Job Description
Join our team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. as a Senior Software Development Engineer specializing in AWS Cryptography. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to open source projects while enhancing the security features for millions of customers utilizing cloud services.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including design, testing, and implementation of new features.
- Operate globally distributed servers and customers to deliver secure and reliable services.
- Develop foundational libraries using C and Rust to enhance the security of AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one software programming language with a strong design and architecture background.
- Experience in mentorship, tech leadership, or leading engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience including coding standards, code reviews, and testing.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Salary and Benefits
The base salary for this position ranges from $134,500 to $261,500/year depending on geographical location and job-related factors. In addition to the competitive salary, Amazon offers a comprehensive benefits package including equity, sign-on bonuses, and medical coverage.
