Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining secure, open source encryption tools and libraries to help customers protect their sensitive data in the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Owning the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including defining, prioritizing, designing, testing, and implementing new features.
- Operating globally distributed servers and serving customers around the world.
- Building foundational libraries using C and Rust to enhance the security of AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in leading design or architecture of systems.
- Proficiency in programming with at least one software language.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience in coding standards, code reviews, and testing.
