Job Description
We are looking for a passionate Senior Software Development Engineer - AWS Cryptography to join our dedicated Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. This role offers you the exciting opportunity to contribute to open-source projects, enhance the security features of web services through cryptography at scale, and enable customers to securely transition sensitive workloads to the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including defining, designing, testing, and implementing new features.
- Operate AWS services with globally distributed servers and customers.
- Build and maintain foundational libraries using C and Rust to ensure the highest security standards and reliability across all AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Experience in leading design or architecture of new systems.
- Mentorship or leadership experience in engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
