Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will play a key role in building and maintaining secure, open source encryption tools and libraries to help customers protect their sensitive data both in the cloud and beyond. Responsibilities
- Own the software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, from defining features to implementing new functionalities.
- Operate globally distributed servers and customers for AWS.
- Develop secure and reliable foundational libraries using languages like C and Rust.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in design or architecture of scalable systems.
- Prior background as a mentor or leading engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and testing.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
