Job Description

Discover Financial Services is seeking a self-motivated Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to join the Identity Security Platform Authentication Services Team. As a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a vital role in automating, enhancing, and optimizing Discover's cybersecurity portfolio. This position offers a unique opportunity to design and implement impactful authentication technologies, contributing to securing Discover from emerging threats and adversaries.

Responsibilities

• Act as the principal advisor in Cybersecurity matters, driving secure system delivery and risk management.
• Explore and assess technology trends to maintain a competitive edge in cybersecurity.
• Provide strong leadership and subject matter expertise across all Cybersecurity technologies.
• Build and maintain Cybersecurity technology roadmap, ensuring compliance and effective solution delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Information Security, Application Security, or related areas.
• Internal proficiency rating of proficient on the Dreyfus engineering scale.

Preferred Qualifications

Bonus points if you have strong skills in Enterprise Single Sign-On/MFA, common Authentication technologies, Cyber Security technologies, Automation technologies, programming/scripting, and Agile methodology.
