Physician Emergency Department - nocturnist

Job Description

Prairie Band, LLC is hiring a Physician for the Emergency Department. This position will require providing professional emergency medical duties and managing patient's appropriately and timely medical services in accordance with established standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional emergency medical services or direct patient care services, including making preliminary diagnoses, prescribing treatments, or arranging for specialized care as required.
• Evaluate patients, adults/adolescents who come to the emergency room; provide primary medical care to patients with a wide spectrum of illnesses in the emergency room.
• Stabilize and transfer major trauma, pediatric trauma, psychiatric emergencies, and complex/critical medical conditions.
• Demonstrate competence in advanced airway management including endotracheal intubation and Rapid Sequence Intubation.

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Arizona or one of the other 49 states in the USA, or the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
• American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM) Board Certification or Board Eligibility.
• Active DEA and completion of credentialing requirements within 10 days of offer.
• Completion and passing of Federal Security Clearance.
