Job Description

Join Barrington Orthopedic Specialists, LTD as a full-time Certified Medical Assistant. You will play a crucial role in patient evaluation, documentation, and clinic assistance, particularly focusing on the Worker Compensation field. This hands-on position involves working closely with physicians, handling procedures, communications, and necessary paperwork. New grads are encouraged to apply, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in clinic with patient evaluation and documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians on procedures, messaging, and phone calls.
  • Handle medical refills, work/gym notes, and related paperwork.
  • Conduct an overview of patient visits and ensure data accuracy.
  • Specialize in Worker Compensation tasks including document review and communication with adjustors and attorneys.

Requirements

  • Certified/Registered Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Experience in orthopedic settings, casting, splinting, and DME is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the Athena EMR System is a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the medical or Worker Compensation field.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
