Job Description
We are currently seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Madison County Jail located in Madison, Florida. As part of GENESYS Health Alliance, you will play a vital role in providing quality healthcare to detainees in a correctional setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient treatments such as blood pressure checks, glucose monitoring, and nebulizer treatments as prescribed.
- Administer medications to inmates following medical provider's orders and maintain accurate documentation.
- Carry out nursing care plans as directed by licensed medical providers.
- Conduct initial and ongoing screenings on detainees upon admission.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited licensed practical nursing program.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of employment and Basic Life Support certification.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with a rotating weekend schedule.
- Experience in correctional nursing is preferred but not required.
