Job Description

Medical Health Associates of Western New York PLLC is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join the Suburban Pediatrics team. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients in an office setting, while upholding the company's core values. LPNs are responsible for performing nursing functions, such as providing direct patient care, administering medications, conducting clinical procedures, and supporting patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate customer satisfaction through positive interactions with patients, parents, providers, colleagues, and other members of the patient care team.
  • Provide and assist with direct patient care, including exam/procedure prep, screenings, initial assessments, and clinical procedures.
  • Carry out administration and documentation of medications, immunizations, and obtaining specimens as ordered by the providers.
  • Assist providers with clinical procedures, conduct catheterizations, and administer nebulizer treatment.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to emergency situations.
  • Support change and new programs to improve patient care and staff morale.
  • Coordinate care with disease management as directed by providers.
  • Follow policy/procedure to perform, record, and report laboratory tests while maintaining universal precautions and infection control precautions.
  • Protect the privacy and security of confidential and sensitive patient information.
  • Assist with training and serve as a resource for other staff.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the nurse manager, or as directed by a provider.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved program for Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Current NYS Licensure and registration required.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • One year experience preferred in: pediatric, clinical, or office nursing.
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency with medical record technology.
  • MEDENT experience/knowledge preferred.

Compensation details

$28-29 Hourly Wage
