Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position at VitalCore Health Strategies offers an exciting opportunity to provide quality care within the correctional healthcare setting at Otero County Detention Center in Alamogordo, NM. As an integral member of the healthcare team, the LPN is responsible for delivering consistent and compassionate patient care, implementing nursing interventions, and collaborating with the medical staff to ensure the well-being of the patients.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a systematic approach to meet the health needs of each individual patient.
• Implement nursing care within the LPN’s scope of practice and compliance with all applicable laws.
• Assist in the development and implementation of teaching plans based on the individual needs of the patient, emphasizing health promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health.
• Provide wound care, administer medications, and monitor vital signs, reporting changes to appropriate medical staff.
• Document actions in the medical records and other nursing duties as assigned by facility.
