Kitchen Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Hornblower - City Experiences in Norfolk, VA. As part of our City Cruises Operation, you will work closely with the kitchen staff and management to ensure high-quality food service to our guests. If you are passionate about food preparation, guest service, and maintaining kitchen standards, this opportunity might be perfect for you.

Responsibilities

• Manage kitchen staff to uphold sanitation codes and quality standards.
• Participate in the recruitment, training, and scheduling of kitchen staff.
• Ensure effective execution of each cruise in terms of food service and guest experience.
• Control costs, manage inventory, and adhere to purchasing procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of kitchen experience in a high-volume environment.
• Previous experience in kitchen staff management.
• Formal culinary training or additional kitchen experience preferred.
• ServSafe Certification required.
