Job Description
We are looking for an In-House Auto Claim Counsel to join our team at State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company. This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Bloomington, Illinois, with a hybrid work arrangement. The role involves providing legal advice on auto insurance policy issues, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a law degree, active license to practice law, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal advice.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on auto insurance policy matters.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support claim handling activities.
- Analyze legal problems, interpret laws, and regulations.
- Anticipate and respond effectively to business needs.
- Act as a resource for complex legal issues.
Qualifications
- Law degree from an ABA accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in at least one state.
- 5+ years of Personal Injury experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to apply legal principles to business needs.
- Compliance with ethical and professional standards.
