Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources Representative to join our team at Porter Medical Center. In this role, you will handle a variety of HR tasks, from employee onboarding to maintaining HRIS records, ensuring smooth operations within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and manage HR phone calls, directing inquiries appropriately.
  • Conduct new employee meetings, process I-9 documents, issue badges, and guide employees with health appointments.
  • Maintain and update employee files in Workday and physical records.
  • Manage transactional requests in Workday.
  • Develop and enforce workflow procedures.
  • Assist employees with various forms and requests.
  • Complete employment verifications promptly.
  • Collaborate with the team to facilitate Traveler onboarding processes.
  • Respond to employee injury reports and ensure documentation is completed accurately and timely.
  • Assist with New Hire data submissions.
  • Respond to HR email inquiries.
  • Resolve technical and administrative issues.
  • Review invoices and prepare bills for payment.
  • Organize meeting agendas and coordinate logistical arrangements.
  • Generate reports and statistical data using HRIS systems.
  • Participate in department projects.
  • Coordinate special functions or projects as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business with at least three years of relevant experience in human resources or healthcare operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is a must; familiarity with Workday or other HRIS systems is advantageous. SHRM-CP certification is a plus. Strong organizational skills, independence, tact, and discretion are essential for this role.

Additional Responsibilities

Coordinate HR programs such as onsite orientation, employee recognition awards, student and job shadow onboarding, and maintenance of intranet sites as needed.
