Guest Experience Lead

Job Description

VASA Fitness is currently seeking a Member Experience Lead (MEL) to join our team. The MEL will be responsible for driving exceptional member experiences and leading a high-performing team within the club. This individual will play a pivotal role in maintaining the club's uplifting culture and values, ensuring an exceptional brand experience for guests and members.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the creation and maintenance of the club's "UPLIFT" culture
• Implement the welcoming, non-intimidating VASA experience for guests and members
• Recruit, hire, and train all Member Experience Specialists (MES) team members
• Lead by example and ensure the club's culture and values are upheld in every interaction
• Promote REVIVE sales, our in-club snack, drink, gear, and apparel shop
• Maintain the club's equipment, facilities, and staff to ensure a positive member experience

Management Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager (GM) in forecasting staffing needs
• Conduct ongoing conversations with MES team members to understand changing work
• Schedule and facilitate training for new MES team members
• Collaborate with the GM to create a welcoming environment for interview candidates and new hires
• Evaluate team member interactions, provide coaching and feedback, and delegate tasks
• Teach and coach MES staff on VASA's non-intimidating approach to converting guests to members
• Support GM in creating and achieving sales plans by addressing successful behaviors and tactics

Leadership and Coaching

• Communicate, lead by example, and motivate the team to develop passion for the brand and approach
• Provide proactive ideas and solutions to advance the business
• Prioritize tasks to achieve club goals, delegate responsibilities, and build strong relationships
• Provide coaching moment that inspires commitment and positive change
• Give input and feedback to GM in succession planning conversations
