Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Family Advocate to join our team at Children First Inc. As a Family Advocate, you will play a crucial role in integrating parent and family engagement strategies into our services to support family well-being and promote children's learning and development. Your responsibilities will include providing case management, referrals, and support services to families, as well as fostering parent communication, involvement, and advocacy.

Education and Experience

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • Minimum credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, or counseling within 18 months of hire
  • Two years of experience in family/social services or early childhood setting
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred

  • Community resource access and utilization
  • Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards
  • Effective communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and community partners
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Skilled in time management and data analysis
  • Proficient in using technology for program planning and reporting
