Job Description
Amazon Data Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Amazon Web Services (AWS), is seeking a dedicated Energy Development Manager to join their Grid Analytics team. As an Energy Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in the planning and implementation of renewable energy projects and power supply strategies for AWS data centers across AMER.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain transmission planning and generation interconnection models to align with Amazon's growth plans.
- Aggregate and analyze datasets to provide key performance indicators for renewable energy and load capacity planning.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address transmission constraints.
- Conduct power flow transmission studies to explore innovative decarbonization solutions.
- Lead technical due diligence assessments on power connection options for proposed projects.
- Manage consultants and external partners through contractual agreements.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
- Knowledge of best practices and technologies related to infrastructure.
- Experience in infrastructure builds and scenarios.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in Transmission planning and Generation Interconnection studies.
