Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Emergency Management Coordinator to join Clear Creek County, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for leading emergency management efforts, coordinating with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as private industry and volunteer groups during emergencies or disasters. The position involves developing, reviewing, and updating emergency plans, conducting trainings, and managing emergency operations. The Emergency Management Coordinator will also work on mitigation strategies, response coordination, and recovery efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.

Responsibilities

  • Lead emergency operations and coordinate with various agencies and groups.
  • Develop and update emergency plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct training and exercises for emergency preparedness.
  • Manage grants and funding for emergency management programs.
  • Coordinate with officials and agencies to establish emergency management objectives.
  • Supervise personnel and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or High School Diploma with at least four years of relevant experience.
  • Certifications in emergency management, ICS, and FEMA programs.
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License and ability to work irregular hours.
  • Strong knowledge of emergency management principles and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
