Job Description

D&S Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Direct Support Lead who will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of Caregivers to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This full-time role involves facilitating the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP), overseeing administrative duties, providing support to individuals, and ensuring community involvement. The Direct Support Lead will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and gain supervisory experience while directly improving the lives of the people we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP) and participate in administrative duties including staff hiring, training, scheduling, and oversight.
  • Supervise a team of Caregivers supporting individuals receiving services in the program.
  • Provide assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, planning, medication administration, and personal care.
  • Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings and providing transportation to work or other activities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Six months of experience in human services preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license, car registration, and vehicle insurance if providing transportation.
  • Completion of all state-required training and certification within mandated timeframes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
