Job Description

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking an Assistant Program Director to join our team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work in a dynamic and innovative environment, fostering personal and professional growth.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in improving student achievement by overseeing the implementation of instructional practices and strategies, as well as coordinating educational, administrative, and counseling activities within the school.

Responsibilities

  • Provide vision and leadership to support student achievement and effective operations.
  • Assist in the employment process and aid in establishing and implementing goals and objectives for the program and staff.
  • Offer guidance, consultation, and assistance to teachers in the development of classroom schedules, maintenance of student data systems, and facilitation of student transition plans.
  • Supervise site staff to ensure quality instruction and implementation of ChanceLight policies and procedures.
  • Handle all inquiries, scheduling, and conducting school tours.
  • Represent ChanceLight Education at community, district, and local levels.
  • Analyze the professional development needs of staff.
  • Work collaboratively with site team, field-level support, and national support.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
  • Meet state education administrator certification and/or licensing requirements.
  • Active special education certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of education leadership experience.
  • Experience working in special education programs and/or with students with significant challenging behaviors preferred.
  • Advanced oral and written communication, instruction, curriculum, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem-solving, decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of state and/or national content standards.
  • Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with instructional technology, computers, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry, and basic office equipment.
