Job Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a 2024 Summer Intern in the Property & Casualty Claims department at State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company. This internship is ideal for students completing their sophomore or junior year and pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Risk Management/Insurance, or Liberal Arts, but is open to all majors. The internship provides hands-on experience in various claims aspects, including investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and policy application. As an intern, you will work closely with our claims teams, interact with witnesses, agents, and vendors, and have the opportunity to engage in a mentorship program and volunteer activities.
Responsibilities
- Gain insight into different areas of claims and insurance operations.
- Learn claim handling processes and procedures.
- Interact with various stakeholders involved in the claims process.
- Participate in mentorship programs and interact with senior leadership.
- Engage in community volunteer opportunities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in teamwork, critical thinking, communication, and attention to detail.
- Strong customer orientation.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Internship Information
- Location: Dunwoody, GA; Richardson, TX; Tempe, AZ (hybrid work environment).
- Dates: May 20, 2024 – August 2, 2024.
- Pay: $20.00 per hour, Monday – Friday (8:00am – 4:30pm).
- Interviews: On-demand interviews in fall 2023.
