Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join the team at Aldi. This is a full-time position, with an average of 30-35 hours per week, offering a starting wage ranging from $19.50 to $23.50 per hour based on shift differentials. The 1st Shift begins at 7:00 AM.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill orders accurately.
- Relocate merchandise in accordance with warehouse guidelines.
- Strategically sort, organize, and load merchandise for shipment.
- Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain warehouse standards.
- Cooperate with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership to ensure effective communication.
- Contribute insights to improve warehouse processes.
- Inspect product quality and collaborate with management on safety and sanitation concerns.
- Independently make decisions within assigned responsibilities.
- Assist in achieving budget goals.
Job Qualifications
To be employed for this role at Aldi, you must be 18 years of age or older. Successful candidates will act conscientiously, collaborate effectively, demonstrate a positive attitude, drive for success, and organize and execute with efficiency.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Capacity to perform basic arithmetic equations.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently or in a team setting.
Physical Requirements
Applicants should be capable of lifting and placing products up to 45 pounds, frequently moving merchandise, and operating powered industrial equipment safely.
